Starting with Mac OS X 10.13 High Sierra, Macintosh machines will prevent the loading of third-party kernel extensions. This Secure Kernel Extension Loading (SKEL) can prevent Maple from installing, requiring manual verification in order to proceed.
-
First, navigate here:
Apple icon > "System Preferences" > "Security & Privacy"
-
Click the "closed padlock" beside "Click the lock to make changes."
-
Press "Allow".
-
Press the "open padlock" beside "Click the lock to prevent further changes."
The installation of Maple should now proceed unimpeded.
