Before trying to repair the corrupted worksheet you should check if a backup of it was made. If you have auto-save or backups enabled there may be a file named
<YourWorksheetName>_MAS.bak. If you change the extension of this worksheet from
.mw and open it in Maple you will be able to restore your backup.
To potentially repair a corrupted Maple worksheet, you can open the worksheet in a text editor and try the following:
Delete every occurrence of NUL.
Tip: In the "Find" window of Notepad++ with "Regular expression" selected, you can replace \x00 with nothing.
Repair any corrupted tags (for instance, <worksheet> missing </worksheet>). There are many tools available to accomplish this, for instance the "XML Tools" plugin for Notepad++.
- Remove any bad characters using the Maple procedure DeleteBadCharacters() written by Joe Riel in a MaplePrimes post.
